Good thing Santa (Topher's grandpa) will be coming over to do a private session. More santa photos to come. YAY!!! Hopefully we will have Topher's haircut. I love when my house is full of the smell of turkey. Plus .... the leftovers stay at the house they were cooked at .... Right?<br /><br />It was my first turkey (without my mom here) and I think it turned out great. Maybe not as good as Martha's turkey. HAHAHA!!!! I watched alot of her show before Thanksgiving. She does some really cute things. Decided to wait to do some of the fancy decor, appitizers, and food until my kids are older (maybe until I have a daughter) and they will appreciate it. Alot of work can go into the details and although I love my husband, I don't think he really cares. :) The food tastes the same whether his name is infront of his plate or not.<br /><br />We did make cute little hats for the boys, which got torn up by Topher while Renae and I were out shopping for Black Friday. I guess Chris and Toph fell asleep at different times. Thank you Babe for watching the boys while we went out. It was a great day and night with family I love very much. Hope you all had a great holiday as well. : )<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685293110626994658" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhz3AVUBjNWyOcM511KXw-luWs0qBOR0G3DK_kVWZ3ONKVjdDBvejH0pNw0IRBzu1hdbWMgxhmbd3_FqFTqZ_64M_Ha_gnU_0UtdonjWZwcCGCge5aY9OsfPT9v7SH1RsPyC55m44kFb5zh/s320/CAM_0423.JPG" /> My Hubby carving the turkey .... this is after I corrected how he wanted to display the food. He didn't want to help anymore but I said, "You have to carve the turkey. It is the dad's job." Right? He forgave me for snapping at him and did a great job. Love you babe. : )<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685293120002704978" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjlGqrlZBtsLOmS232BS-dqR7lyj5kFE7hczfOwqQ_JALG7BbjphSN24M9klWWZYn7bUX5udC3MibyCx8c0Aopo0SwS_wR302oUdI1bLXjmLj04Nz0RAa2_aQA1V3ZmGrvmMyK5qBhOAl4Q/s320/CAM_0424.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5685294725381950418" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgK6zOWOmVPOXrrDKfMKrVLT4Z2wDRghHT7GqYH3jMN8WXtTCrVDHvsj7_rRd_YzIAiRHM-MoPZXbkyWMqTSnQDHO2ggZL6IYOP7LcEBLO62YGyhGUVZwS090r_3qr4am1zVFgOPAdJGI5x/s320/CAM_0425.JPG" /> Yummmmmmmmm ..... Topher's first Halloween with his cousins. He had so much fun. We went to a pumpkin patch (more like a parking lot with pumpkins on pallets, nothing like in Washington. : ) We carved pumkins and had apple cider with red hots (sound wierd but it is really good), went to a carnival and trunk or treat, and then were also able to go out trick or treating on halloween night. Topher loved running from house to house with his cousins. Chris loved it to. He said it was great to go with other kids because Topher would just following them and he didn't have to run him up and down each drive way. HAHAHAH!!! Topher was adorable. He would say thank you to each person that gave him candy and a couple times he didn't understand that once they put candy in his bag that was it. He ended up putting his hand in the candy bowl and helping himself to a few more pieces. Will teach people that you don't put a huge bowl of candy in a toddlers reach. : ) We also got some really cute photos of us with all of Topher's candy but I realized they weren't on our camera. Will have to post later.<br /><br />Lota of random pictures of our fun times below. The thought of The Older brother sounded great. When we got pregnant with <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Topher</span> we were hoping for a boy, but you can never really predict until they tell you or until they are born. So, when we found out we were have a boy we were ecstatic. I think I was a little relieved, having a girl kind of scared me. There is a lot of STUFF that comes with a girl. I think Chris liked the idea of having a little boy ... because what man doesn't want a boy first to continue his name. At first I thought ... have a boy first then a girl so the boy will keep the dad occupied while I hang out with my little girl.<br /><br />After <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Toph</span> was born and we were discussing future children we talked about how it would be fun to have 2 boys in a row. Mostly so that <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_2">Toph</span> would have a buddy growing up. Chris was the only boy in his family and think he wishes he had a brother. Well, he had me convinced that it would be the best for <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Toph</span> to have a brother (not that I have control over the sex of my babies) and then our third would hopefully be a girl.<br /><br />Come to find out Chris wanted to have a boy(s) so that the boy to girl ratio would be higher. I think he felt out numbered growing up and wanted to make up for that. :)<br /><br />He didn't really disclose his plan fully until we found out our second (due June 26<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">th</span>) will be a boy. It was then that he let out a semi evil chuckle and said, "sweet, now the boys will out number the girls.") Little does he know that a mom's vote more than out weighs a toddlers, an infants, and a big kids vote. If not, Chris will be taking two boys out a lot without mom. <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">HAHAHA</span>!!! Just kidding . We are excited to have another little boy in the making. Two boys running around will definitely keep things fun and interesting.Momma Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01340443582125560077noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-461233228781230318.post-128462048579475042011-01-29T14:37:00.001-08:002011-01-29T14:44:28.780-08:00So it's been a very long time since either of us have posted anything. Hopefully there is someone out there that is still reading this blog. We've been busy with many things, but operating two businesses has been time consuming. The Christmas season was a filled with a lot of work. I had many homes that needed Christmas lights installed, we needed to remodel our office, and continue preparing our employees for tax season. However with all the work, Christmas was great, and we are moving forward.<br /><br />Tax season is in full swing and Topher, Allison and I are all pitching in to make it the best possible experience even though at times it is trying. Although we don't have a costume for Topher to wave at our customers, he sure likes to hold the signs.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht-rdfcGvsI69GWm72s1yobEVegrcWU954VnoIV4QXlno92kCCuq0gKvI1jaKKOMQ77yNi5Wuk8e-jjW9jHoMOqU0pjm9ORcXMGXLT_0c4SFA9Koq7HM2SHtJgZaswci1VSiZ4SP3BrUYK/s1600/photo.jpg"><img style="display: block; margin: 0px auto 10px; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 300px; height: 400px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht-rdfcGvsI69GWm72s1yobEVegrcWU954VnoIV4QXlno92kCCuq0gKvI1jaKKOMQ77yNi5Wuk8e-jjW9jHoMOqU0pjm9ORcXMGXLT_0c4SFA9Koq7HM2SHtJgZaswci1VSiZ4SP3BrUYK/s400/photo.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5567742109777571746" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Wish us luck!<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht-rdfcGvsI69GWm72s1yobEVegrcWU954VnoIV4QXlno92kCCuq0gKvI1jaKKOMQ77yNi5Wuk8e-jjW9jHoMOqU0pjm9ORcXMGXLT_0c4SFA9Koq7HM2SHtJgZaswci1VSiZ4SP3BrUYK/s1600/photo.jpg"><br /></a>Tophhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09204184269784689557noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-461233228781230318.post-59122092145279540312010-07-09T11:54:00.001-07:002010-07-09T12:16:15.786-07:00Water ParkWe went to Willis Tucker water park yesterday for playgroup. Our group was kind of split up due the enormous amount of people there, but it was fun. We did run into the Valentines, thank goodnesss. It is always more fun when you are around good friends. I had never been so I was a little under prepared. No chairs or toys, but I did remember the snacks. <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">Toph</span> really liked being out in the sun and wondering around but didn't care for the water much, unless I was holding him and we were barely getting wet. The water was kind of cold and he isn't used to the water hitting him in the face. I hope all of you did also. We went to Marysville to Grandpa Nelson's house for a BBQ and to watch fireworks. There was a family right across the street sitting on lawn chairs enjoying the fireworks from there drive way. When big ones would go off they would all scream. Toph would wave his arms in the air and scream with them. I think he would have had more fun with them then us.<br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490530073212917458" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzKBAlQEpNusJOOZWf6hEd3ow6NsEScld38Uqm76ArnYVVi9I3yM-pVu819ev3kDxm-mk8tYuut1Ps-p8932xLZo13m_b-PaE0m2nG1kyDX864YI1mnyeJGRccjs1EfShyz02B0NqPE8pF/s320/DSC07182.JPG" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMw2ZMthdE4PYphwfqfpTWQ341rBsbGHHUD9l_SG0tBKoEM1QyMIpCOjPjyiprkfIxDRx7Gj5gD5Ap75CVOdoRP1kQhyQnWPiEznYc20Y0bPm4V1oX-GjrbjKB2uiAWAbQCWVf5sIE4tLa/s1600/DSC07201.JPG"></a></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5490528175286544450" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMw2ZMthdE4PYphwfqfpTWQ341rBsbGHHUD9l_SG0tBKoEM1QyMIpCOjPjyiprkfIxDRx7Gj5gD5Ap75CVOdoRP1kQhyQnWPiEznYc20Y0bPm4V1oX-GjrbjKB2uiAWAbQCWVf5sIE4tLa/s320/DSC07201.JPG" /></div><div>Toph will climb on anyone/anything that is on the floor. He is also fascinated by faces and mouths. Chris thinks he is going to be a dentist when he grows up. He is always sticking his fingers in our mouths. I think that would be great. Dental work can be expensive, would love to have a son that would do the work for free. He used to be so good at letting us take his photo. Now He doesn't stay still long enough, he doesn't even flinch when we call his name, and getting him to look at the camera and smile at the same is very rare. Chris's first over night outing with Toph. :) My first night without the Toph. :( I was a little sad to see them go but really looking forward to hanging out at home. Watching, eating, and doing whatever I wanted; peace and quite. AHHHHH.<br /><br />From what I heard they had alot of fun. Chris called me on the way to Cascade Park so I could hear Topher laughing and talking. Chris was getting him to raise his hand and yell -- Woohoo we are going camping. Toph mostly just yelled.<br /><br />I called Chris later that night to check in. They had already set-up camp and were eating dinner. Toph was sitting in his camp chair eating a hot dog and Chris was dropping his on the ground. Camp food .... YUM. We only talked for a few minutes. Chris told me that it was a father son outing, no girls allowed, so he had to let me go.<br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy8lmuy7dS1WyG-0qQdFUYi_iEza3zx9HGgGTfPqylKRF8QkkE2wZ8r_Y4h9uS4WP1ME_97EryvhowK1ePnNzU2Oe8-hsOB0cAwztn4XBzcybyGC6cDAXVRwrcXnydSEpapB-DoeABI3pm/s1600/fatherson+2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 246px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiy8lmuy7dS1WyG-0qQdFUYi_iEza3zx9HGgGTfPqylKRF8QkkE2wZ8r_Y4h9uS4WP1ME_97EryvhowK1ePnNzU2Oe8-hsOB0cAwztn4XBzcybyGC6cDAXVRwrcXnydSEpapB-DoeABI3pm/s320/fatherson+2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488384509214915986" border="0" /></a> I told Chris I would know how much fun they had by how early they came home on Saturday. HAHAHA!!! They stayed until afternoon so I think they had a great time. Toph got to play in the river, play with dirt, eat rocks, eat hot dogs and graham crackers, wear the same clothes for 2 days, sleep in his own sleeping bag (in the same clothes he wore that day), and come home with dirt all over his face smelling like camp fire and bacon. He was too preoccupied with all the cool stuff around the pool (planters, benches, pool equipment). He kept climbing out of the pool. </span></a><br /><div style="text-align: left;"><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib5LDNARfmjMVCLGIP4sm1kfI3vyE6Le6uy4-6T4RucDvgJWZi-q4vt9hyphenhyphen3uPTVwHZRrd9P0bkcd7RNUvbrELk1oaz1lW5e3bMHd-zn9Q6gWbnnxRZPUIyveWxhHN3PNwQvlfqNgxkQ8HA/s1600/swimming+2.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 206px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEib5LDNARfmjMVCLGIP4sm1kfI3vyE6Le6uy4-6T4RucDvgJWZi-q4vt9hyphenhyphen3uPTVwHZRrd9P0bkcd7RNUvbrELk1oaz1lW5e3bMHd-zn9Q6gWbnnxRZPUIyveWxhHN3PNwQvlfqNgxkQ8HA/s320/swimming+2.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488366868513366434" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_GWvthnYSMlAb9yBlP1lF-o0vtf5u11oh27E_e0e_7s6XCfQ5tymD_yTJvvFvCylq9jx4tKCtWH4Iz2653lmE945cFPcziamfaxKFmm1z9QwIJ1PmeLzqA_0aNyQwXkDFC50ueMOlKs13/s1600/swimming+3.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_GWvthnYSMlAb9yBlP1lF-o0vtf5u11oh27E_e0e_7s6XCfQ5tymD_yTJvvFvCylq9jx4tKCtWH4Iz2653lmE945cFPcziamfaxKFmm1z9QwIJ1PmeLzqA_0aNyQwXkDFC50ueMOlKs13/s320/swimming+3.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488366853330420850" border="0" /></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe_vh77v04nc3ZQAD4hWDQkihwugXgTk0YWDScnpkxsbCCeSPNS0PbmIdvX2ugRx4BnTwYi4TEd4dMTQ9kK0T_1XNX45DBcD_hpztfrDvPpKvtcqdOmgdJDgXYdYaak_KMAdER8yEzVASl/s1600/swimming+4.jpg"><img style="margin: 0px auto 10px; display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhe_vh77v04nc3ZQAD4hWDQkihwugXgTk0YWDScnpkxsbCCeSPNS0PbmIdvX2ugRx4BnTwYi4TEd4dMTQ9kK0T_1XNX45DBcD_hpztfrDvPpKvtcqdOmgdJDgXYdYaak_KMAdER8yEzVASl/s320/swimming+4.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5488366844946118466" border="0" /></a></div>Momma Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01340443582125560077noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-461233228781230318.post-90142438612352980342010-06-29T17:07:00.000-07:002010-06-29T22:45:14.395-07:00Vacation to Montana<span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_0">Toph</span> and I went to Montana a couple weeks ago to visit Grandma and Grandpa Croft, Uncle Chris and Aunt Tabbatha, and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_1">Toph's</span> cousins Samantha, Damian, Kaitlyn, and Christopher. A few minutes went by (that's how long his attention span is sometimes) and he decided to come and see what I was doing. Once he realized I didn't have any food he quickly moved on. He started crawling down the hall towards his bedroom or maybe the bathroom. He likes to pull tub toys out of the bath tub and crawl around with them. Crazy kid!<br /> Then he was quite, never a good sign, so i decided to get up and go find him. As soon as I got up and turned around to look for him I heard a door slowly start to close. As I looked up the first bedroom door slammed shut. I could see his shadow on the other side of the door. I went to open the door, barely, since he was sitting right behind it. He was probably hoping I didn't hear the door and he would be able to play. We currently consider our first bedroom storage. He tries to get into that room all the time knowing it is full of fun things.<br /> I slowly pushed the door (and <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_3">Toph</span>) open to find The <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_4">Toph</span> smiling back at me. He slowly crawled out. I consider this a mom moment - might not be funny to everyone but completely cherished by me.<br /><br />2. SHIMMY SHIMMY<br /> Today I found another characteristic that <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_5">Toph</span> has in common with his dad. So ... when Chris was single he use to give huge hugs to some of his girl friends. I think mostly just to Leslie Cook. She used to give <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_6">Chris</span> huge bear hugs. While she was hugging him Chris would shimmy her (otherwise shake her back and forth as they hugged). I often put <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_7">Toph's</span> arms around my neck and give him a hug. Well, today I put his arms around my neck and gave him a shimmy hug, aka <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_8">Topher</span> hug. He would throw his head back and laugh so loud. I couldn't help but give him several <span class="blsp-spelling-error" id="SPELLING_ERROR_9">Topher</span> hugs. It was great. Can't wait to show Chris.<br /><br />3. WHAT NOW?<br /> This morning I finished reading "The Actor and the Housewife" by Shannon Hale. It was a pretty good book. One that tugs on every emotion even after you read it. It made me want to be a better person, <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_10">Continually</span> rekindle the love/relationship Chris and I have, Give thanks for all I have, Cherish my family, Live my life in a way that the Lord can directly guide and bless me, and to Avoid the <span class="blsp-spelling-corrected" id="SPELLING_ERROR_11">appearance</span> of evil. I have to admit, it was kind of a long book. Some intense moments and some monotonous moments, which I actually put the book down to read another one. The beginning and end were the best, so when I picked it back up I couldn't put it down. I have spent every available moment these last few days reading. Now I am not sure why I was in such a hurry. I don't have another book and feel slightly lost. I tend to get extremely wrapped up in the books I am reading and finish them in days. When it is a good book I tend to get wrapped up in the characters and plot and feel slight remorse when I finish. Each time a finish a book I often want one just like it, although it is always fun to start a new adventure.Momma Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01340443582125560077noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-461233228781230318.post-38424236855226732492010-04-01T13:04:00.000-07:002010-04-01T13:25:56.325-07:00Easter PlaygroupWe had our Easter playgroup this morning. It was so much fun!!! Erin, you did a great job with everything. We made bunny ears, listened to an easter story, hunted for eggs (well, actually got out of the way quick as the kids were let loose to grab the eggs they had been staring at since they got to playgroup), and then decorated cupcakes and chatted. It was great, just what I needed. Minus the 2 cupcakes I ate. :)<br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div></div><div>It's always great to get together with everyone and just forget the stresses of life for awhile. It is really nice that Toph has a few friends his age that play with him. He kind of has a short attention span and crawls away after a few minutes, especially if he sees other kids running around. He always wants to be where the action is. He tries to chase after the big kids. Thankfully they slow down and play with him. Thanks Tristen, Kate, and Tyler. Your awesome.</div><br /><div></div><div>Toph didn't really participate in the egg hunt, he will have his chance Sunday. YAY!!! But he did get bunny ears. He is a very cute bunny. Toph will be 10 months on February 28th. WOW!!! They grow up fast. Toph loves to interact/play with other kids and loves to talk. He is not shy at all. We went to reading time today and he was crawling all over the place, being so adventurous. He loves to sit right next to other kids and tries to play with everything. We are working on not taking others toys. He is just so curious to see and chew on any toy someone else is playing with. He is an extremely easy going little guy who loves hugs, kisses, and laying on his daddy. When he gets super tired he will put his cheek to Chris's and loves when Chris talks in his ear. Very adorable. He brings much joy and excitement to our lives daily. We love him and are very blessed that he is part of our family.<br /><div><div><div> <img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439021170586818834" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjLXO1cxr78_QbVrdMzzXzJJDKLQ1VifgF7UH5DmbjPjDUyo6D-lQ3B-r69645VKE8Dp-6uzqpTVM6oQY0qGU0CHJl9n-_39ePyBCdV-OfCVgHq6ijn3rXJ634CiexYqNco7fPvAJHMm9i_/s320/8+Months+156.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439021155973203026" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjsvipR2OzmieEJfWdrILAXkyUXG7iq9Rwyd3P3h_PmtMZNw5IhyphenhyphenvdN4m_7mAAqcD0csPphqk5cdViGjegJQXf8CyHvQBrDP3b437iAiibCjFC7dwN6Cex2z6CBWksFrp0p8rY_XNoHBotO/s320/8+Months+048.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439021145033980290" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-RpKGz3iv8ul6UtIqluWVPYhfs38ZgscON3-P_gzfhFAA6YGS5DzNiXT5aVpmkN9q2WPA7F0uz_sDfGweatFO5mWzwQPZCbu1Gnntt0fGHRNzBblb8n0WWIpsGGkbSdMoihWWNZ5ExKTZ/s320/8+Months+086.jpg" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 286px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439021134724112210" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQykBqYu8BiBikv8Pmjkb0klEDD_YWAujjUaTOfaUeLKB_oT3JeATOYmChz8TLj1DzDm9HZzttP2QuKzsHs5EZmh3mwYuikyIBX1fbkegxh_-svf124hA9J1LiW1lAClmcf6rw89DHiz4K/s320/8+Months+037.jpg" /> <div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 301px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5439021121418320658" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSSIjq9mhB72Dc0tZcZYIKthx0_oqDntq0lcPV1FDs2aolFm6Dy6EktvuTaxNSU_qsWAfKvh1n6Tri7Ri_eWiX7Y9djL7NE34oybxNbJyORhrFAmpGgEhcg0-ecZ0U5-zu1CTPu5ByrGZa/s320/8+Months+117.jpg" /> <div> </div></div></div></div></div>Momma Nelsonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01340443582125560077noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-461233228781230318.post-45784956253838405452010-02-09T18:55:00.000-08:002010-02-09T21:31:59.903-08:00And he is mobile ....<object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iyRjKKBsQO8&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iyRjKKBsQO8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>Tophhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09204184269784689557noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-461233228781230318.post-6136219896003172009-12-29T21:50:00.000-08:002009-12-29T22:10:54.597-08:00Santa Claus is coming to town...It was a lot of fun having "Santa" come over and take pictures with his grandson. We have tried a few times to take our own family photos but we ran into a few obstacles. One, sometimes it is hard for Chris to set-up the picture and then run and jump in before the picture takes AND be in the perfect position. Second, it is hard to get an infant to look straight a head and smile at nothing. As you can see it was hard to get him to do this even with someone trying to get his attention. Third, It is hard to get the perfect lighting at night without extra lamps/lights. It is not easy holding an extra lamp next to you while holding a 7 month old or just having one sitting next to you without him staring at it while trying to grab it. Yeah ... I think you are starting to picture the dilemma. <div><br /><div></div><div>We were very grateful to have close friends of ours come over and take some photos. Toph was pretty cooperative. He was happy and more than willing to pose. It was hard to capture his great smile while we were also looking and smiling. Also, in most of the pictures he is looking ... who knows where. Probably watching TV. This was his first time sitting up in the tub. His interest in bath toys has grown over the past few weeks, but it is hard to play with lots of toys laying in his bath chair. So we decided to let him sit up for a little bit in the beginning of his bath. He loved it.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be married and be blessed with such a beautiful little boy. I am grateful for a home with heat and food, for a car that runs (Monday I was at the store silently complaining that it was raining and I had to get out of my warm car and go into the store when I looked over and a gentleman was out in the pouring rain trying to get his car to start. This made me rethink my perspective and really humbled me.) and gets me from point A to B, and for many modern conveniences. I am reminded every morning when my husband gets up to go to work how blessed we are to be employed<br />(this is something I think many of us take for granted, maybe even think of an a nuisance) and how amazing it is that I get to stay home with Toph. I look at Toph several times a day and give thanks to the Lord for the opportunity to watch him grow. I enjoy being with him each time he does something or discovers something new; like his toes and chews on them, make razz sounds in excitement, squeels because he learned to make a new sound, or wakes up to my voice and smiles bigger than ever before. We are so thankful for our families and there support over the years and the many friends that surround us. Our family away from home. Thank you to everyone that makes each day more special than the last.<br /></div><div align="center"></div><div align="center">Here are some photos of Toph's first Thanksgiving .... ENJOY!!!<br /></div><div align="center"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408860888444282610" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi2v4-apYU0iBSJ8PBDo3KcSezrnfpLmRunOjV_AtgkCuuUBHq5nNPuagRjYegDilZXjbbfyxD7bHGUdK80M01qKnK6wXYKZqXcDpKXuY3MGFK7KCGXaYBspl9Iipb5hWRE05Z7WwwVZULm/s320/DSC05999.JPG" /> Father and son. Toph has had a few issues with beards, mostly his grandpas. He is OK once he warms up. This is him warming up. Bob slowly has to get closer. Sometime Bob has to come up behind Toph and hold him until he warms up. We try to tell Toph that the beard is fun, but he doesn't get it. We even got a book that talks about different objects to touch, and a beard is one of them. Maybe it is helping he had a really good time with his Grandpa.<br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408861583361466242" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhew9iLYNabtN4FZl1XdSkXpDeClRsklYPqe68OiySltm1MPGr0LsRtcsANCe1zy1hphbHY6nIYeObozED4_Zvmcb-1Z4aDUQSJY2onWzncLJrlvGDHTI2G8WfDZEYniKNqmbQDjQkw3EnF/s320/DSC06030.JPG" /> Toph is starting to look more like his Daddy.<br />He sure does have his daddy's crazy fun personality.<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 264px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408861941968503762" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE0rmlEDxoeeo0K92pFRUO5NujEwv7525RXKvSlXFNKSQu12MVbgyqTZetw8-A9Tnuj10X2MJuMOw_sjYosKX8OHtxTRqIImKX2jKn35H00JrZK_uNJTCQiXLGnuAyXja8TE7oFeHoccE5/s320/DSC06035.JPG" /> Toph and Grandpa ... Sometimes I wish that Christmas would last all year (and no it's not because of the gifts. Haha) although, I am sure the spirit of Christmas might not be as amazing if it were all year.<br /><div><br /><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408628508424545650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjrtSenQKre7Zffll8w9jAqYWgin2ftCx1EimZR-FFnEjI8NU6dlac26VzkNHQz4Wa9TDGiO6qzR5PYgeJ5UIN7esTfhXlHeFgUfbL3u-VvgCfZ5ICip4mcisM0hlu2jhlk6ZBwDQaNCUsh/s320/DSC05951.JPG" />I started listening to Christmas music over a week ago and was thinking over the weekend that is would be fun to deck the house with Christmas. I thought it mught be a little early, beside we didn't even know where we were going to put the tree. We currently have to much furniture. It was to my surprise on Monday when Chris asked if I wanted to get out the Christmas decorations. Of course I said yes; I was extremely excited. I think Chris was also, until about 30 minutes into pulling out all the totes, dumping the Christmas tree out of the box and fluffing the branches as we put it together. <div><br /><div></div><br /><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 240px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408628138388827874" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHkaYeZUbFAu2HL99ReKKm6hOLoymVDK1bCSLPsEd4VLR5NXCxfvjGP9RbpWZkoS3LnUimXTX301WsdUtGHrE8WtbQHejRp79jszZTmM3Os3Bylei6DFL1zWydN3AxsIYkUlRFnAHK6d02/s320/DSC05918.JPG" /></div><br /><br /><br /><br /><div>It was then that we realized something was missing. No Christmas music/movie. What were we thinking? We put in The Santa Clause 2. One of my favorites next to A Miracle on 34th Sreet (the one in color) and made hot chocolate. The day was amazing. We decorated for hours. Talking, laughing, taking pictures (mostly of Topher playing with the beads and so awe struck'n by the lights. We finished the night with Albertsons chicken and a movie.</div><br /><br /><div></div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 311px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5408625072680186674" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq498W3d-05dIxk9qJw9UNhAcu-p0Gni0d88r2qXwgwIgEj3cl1K8Gu9H8r7Ms9UkqRHR985PMel9x-wwf1hZNkO9sNxg3e6S4sSLnMfyF9DTkla6tdMsnochqi_InPjPAeV7AG2ZAJ_9J/s320/Photo+224.jpg" /><br /><br /><br /><div>A fabulous way to begin the holidays. </div><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center;
